ANZCHAM held its first ever 3-city, 5-day roadshow from August 26-30, 2024, hosting sessions in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
The local briefings in Melbourne and Brisbane featured a distinguished panel, including Deputy Director General Vivian Sulit Santos of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority; Peter Horn, Deputy CEO of Austrade (Melbourne); Paula Guino, Program Director – Southeast Asia Business Exchange of Austrade (Brisbane), Jack Madrid, President & CEO of IBPAP, Benjamin Romualdez, President of ANZCHAM and Managing Director of Telstra Philippines, and Kimmi Siu Dewar, Executive Director of ANZCHAM and Marketing Director, Asia at Aristocrat.
The discussions at these briefings provided valuable insights into how Australian businesses can leverage Filipino talent and capabilities for success. Attendees gained a deeper understanding of the strategic advantages and growth opportunities in the Philippines, highlighting the dynamic potential for collaboration between Australia and the Philippines.
Each city hosted a CEO roundtable, which provided an intimate setting for high-level discussions and the forging of strategic partnerships.
The trip concluded in Sydney with participation in the 2024 Australian-ASEAN Business Forum and an ASEAN Gala Dinner, emphasizing the strong business ties and collaborative spirit between ASEAN and Australia. The final day included a notable CEO Roundtable lunch with Shemara Wikramanayake, the Business Champion of the Philippines, Managing Director and CEO of Macquarie Group, and a delegation debrief at the Telstra Head Office.
