After holding two successful signature events in March, ANZCham brings back its Monthly Members’ Meeting with an interesting & insightful discussion on the Gen-Z Workshift – the workforce now.
Held on 21 April 2026 at Makati Shangri-La, the April MMM brought together over 120 attendees mixing together generations from the Gen-X & Millennial industry leaders, to the thriving, expanding Gen-Zs.
Co-presented by TP, whose 60,000-strong Philippine workforce is nearly 60% Gen-Z, the session tackled the million-dollar question: How do organizations attract and keep the talent of today?
The session kicked off with a reality check: a live poll revealed that the majority of the audience expects Gen-Z talent to stay for “less than a year” in an organization. This insight set the stage for a “Deep Dive into the Gen-Z Workshift” featuring industry leaders Hazel Joyce Camacho – Tupaz, VP for Talent Acquisition at TP, Carlo Rey “Inkee” Hidalgo, VP for Learning & Development at TP, and Angelo “Choi” J. (Jayno), Sales Director at Jobstreet Philippines, expertly moderated by ANZCham Treasurer & ANZ Country Head BOYET Santiago.
The panel highlighted a simple truth: winning over the next generation of talent requires trading old-school corporate rules for flexibility and purpose. By using AI to make learning a quick, “bite-sized” part of the daily routine and focusing on intentional leadership through transparency and mental health support, companies can build a culture that thrives anywhere, whether in the office or remote.
Success in this new era isn’t just about better tech; it’s about pairing the digital innovation era with human heart, ensuring leaders stay connected to the pulse of their teams—ultimately molding the next generation of Gen Z talent to take the lead.
