On 22 April 2025, ANZCham held its April Monthly Members’ Meeting, co-presented by CXC—drawing a full room of attendees eager to engage in a discussion on the future of talent acquisition and retention in a rapidly changing market.

As the session began, the panel discussion kicked off with insightful contributions from three key industry figures: Richard Farmer, Managing Director – Asia, CXC; Shane Baetz, Vice President of Learning Experience, Foundever; and OIC-Assec. Patrick Patriwirawan Jr., MIR from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE); moderated by Natalie Davies, ANZCham Vice President and Country Manager-Philippines, Vocus Group.

The discussion explored evolving trends in talent development, workplace innovation, and government-driven labor initiatives in the Philippines. Richard emphasized the importance of employer branding and humanizing recruitment and retention strategies through strong employee value propositions (EVPs) and leadership development. Shane discussed how AI is transforming learning and development by enabling personalized training experiences and data-driven onboarding, especially in contact centers with a young, tech-savvy workforce. Patrick provided insights on labor market growth and shared updates on upcoming policy changes, including the National Employment Master Plan and new laws supporting digital workforce competitiveness and enterprise-based education. Together, the speakers underscored the critical balance between technology, human connection, and collaboration across sectors to future-proof the workforce.

The session concluded with a sense of excitement and optimism as attendees continued exchanging insights and building new connections.
