CREATE MORE Act Webinar | 14 March 2025

On 14 March 2025, the Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (ANZCham), in partnership with SGV & Co., hosted an insightful webinar on the recently enacted CREATE MORE law, drawing over 100 attendees eager to understand the law’s impact. This new legislation introduces significant tax reforms and incentive updates aimed at enhancing the Philippines’ investment landscape, particularly for Registered Business Enterprises (RBEs) and exporters.

Key updates include an expanded definition of directly attributable expenses, ensuring more costs qualify for VAT zero-rating. The law also clarifies RBEs’ VAT incentives, extending benefits as long as the 70% export requirement is met. Work-from-home (WFH) rules remain at a 50% cap for PEZA-registered enterprises, with tax penalties for exceeding this limit.

Other important reforms include streamlined importation procedures, e-invoicing requirements by 2026, and extended incentive periods for registered businesses.

With these sweeping tax changes, businesses must review their compliance obligations and strategize to maximize their incentives under CREATE MORE.

For further inquiries or clarification, ANZCham members are encouraged to engage with tax experts and consult with their respective Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) to ensure full compliance with the new regulations.
