Establishment of the Australian Business Group (ABG)

The Australian – New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (Philippines) Inc. evolved out of the ABG, by the Australian Senior Trade Commissioner that time, Bill Brigstocke. This marked the foundation of a dynamic chamber dedicated to fostering international business relations.

Start of the full time Secretariat

In the inaugural year, the Board of Directors made a pivotal decision to establish a Full-Time Secretariat. This marked a significant step in enhancing services to members, disseminating information, providing central liaison for member contacts and questions, and improving overall chamber administration.

BPO & IT Services

Governor: Natalie Davies, Country Manager, Vocus

The BPO & IT Services Committee is the driving force behind Australian, New Zealand, and Philippine stakeholders, including service providers, clients, and partners in the BPO, captive, shared services industry, and tech space. Focused on fostering dialogue among stakeholders, it advocates for issues relevant to the industry, supporting the development of the Philippines BPO & IT services sectors for Australia and New Zealand. The committee collaborates with government stakeholders, notably the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and the Board of Investments (BOI). Leading the annual Innovation Forum, the committee stands at the forefront of industry innovation and collaboration.

People and Culture Committee

The People and Culture Committee is dedicated to promoting the professional development of ANZCHAM members through exposure to human resources and legal employment information, updates on current trends, industry experience sharing, and networking. With a focus on the Philippines and the Asia Pacific region, it addresses topics such as employee engagement, talent acquisition, leadership development, workplace safety, and more. The committee aims to position ANZCHAM as a leading advocate for inclusiveness and sustainable business practices, focusing on people, diversity, culture, talent management, and employee well-being.
