On Saturday, 29 April 2023, the Anzcham community came together to commemorate ANZAC day. It’s an important day for both nations, to pause and reflect, on the ultimate sacrifices made by the brave soldiers when they landed at Gallipoli on the 25th of April, 1915. This is where the ANZAC Legend was born which has since helped shape the values, principles and culture that protect freedoms we enjoy today.

Yesterday, our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee organized afternoon tea to celebrate International Women’s Month with the theme #EmbraceEquity. The event was graced by Her Excellency Australian Ambassador HK Yu, Chaye Cabal-Revilla, Executive Director and the Chief Finance, Risk and Sustainability Officer of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, and Grace David, Chief Executive Officer of Edukasyon.ph.

Last week, Anzcham celebrated its first in-person All is Bright: An Anzcham Christmas Celebration in three years. It was a wonderful evening of engagement, reconnecting, and most importantly fundraising.  We are very proud to announce that we raised PhP 826,500 for our #SaferKidsPHadvocacy program.

It was an inspiring and enlightening time yesterday with Manny Rubio and Adi Timbol-Hernandez as they tackled the increasing importance, as well as emerging best practices in their own companies, on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Indeed, great minds don’t think alike and the diversity of viewpoints and perspectives shared yesterday has provided our community with much to reflect on and learn as our members try to take real action on DEI in their own companies and organizations.

It was a very warm welcome with a full house for the new Australian Ambassador HK Yu from the Anzcham community! Everyone was intent on listening to the new Ambassador’s plans for her tenure in the Philippines, and she was very game and very thorough in giving answers to the audience’s questions.
