Austrade sends a challenge to women in export
This is despite the fact that 29 per cent of women-owned organisations in Australia earn more than 50 per cent of their sales internationally, according to the ‘Australia’s underestimated resource: Women doing business globally’ report published by The University of Melbourne and Women in Global Business.
National Program Manager of the Women in Global Business program, Cynthia Balogh said while women have proved themselves to be highly successful in doing business internationally, they don’t put themselves forward for recognition and awards despite being major exporters.
‘We want to change that’, she said. ‘We strongly encourage women to enter this year’s Australian Export Awards.’
Austrade will host a webinar in early July for women who are interested in applying for the Australian Export Awards. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
