|The ANZCHAM Education, Training and Labor Committee Meeting held a special session with the Department of Education (DepEd) featuring Mario A. Derequito, Undersecretary for Partnerships and External Linkages.
The meeting was held on Tuesday, July 7th. Usec. Derequito discussed possible partnerships between DepEd and ANZCHAM for Senior High School and their Last Mile Learner Programs that target children with disabilities, out-of-school-youths, children in indigenous communities, and students who are living in remote areas and have difficult access to classrooms. These partnerships will provide DepEd access to work immersion opportunities, hands-on expertise, additional resources, and employment opportunities for Senior High School graduates. Partnership opportunities discussed include the need for fundraising partners, implementing partners for DepEd programs, volunteer mobilization, and partners for monitoring and evaluation.
